ICE wins place on £30million social marketing roster for the North West

We’ve been named on the new social marketing framework for more than 50 NHS organisations in the North West.

As one of only 8 companies named on the ‘strategy and planning’ section of the framework, ICE has been highlighted as a preferred supplier to develop social marketing strategies and practical programme planning.

The listing means the ICE team will now be able to compete for social marketing projects with up to 50 NHS organisations without having to go through a lengthy procurement process for each contract. The framework will remain in place for three years, with the option of a further year also available.

It comes after NHS North West undertook a rigorous and highly competitive review process which examined the full range of expertise required.

Our CEO, Stuart Jackson, says, “We specialise in campaigns and interventions that make a real difference to people’s lives - helping to educate, inform and support a move or change in behaviour - and this is a golden opportunity to bring in some exciting new clients and work on some great new projects.”

The opening of ICE South East reflects ICE’s client base of local authorities, PCTs and NHS Trusts nationally, including rapid growth within the South East region.

It will build on the support we are already offering nationally and regionally to educate and support positive behaviour change within communities, including Swale Borough Council (on alcohol and underage drinking), NHS West Kent (on sexual health) and Dartford Borough Council (on healthy living/physical activity).

The ICE team is also helping to deliver a number of key government accounts such as the communications element of the Department of Health’s £2.17million National Healthy Schools Programme, talentmap which is a national employment resource linking employees with job opportunities, employers and skills courses, and You’re Welcome, a major new Department of Health project aimed at supporting young people to access health advice more easily.

Mike Gates, new executive member of ICE based in the South East, is joined by Suzanne Goldenberg, Business Development Manager and Hannah Wallington, Senior Social Marketing Practitioner.

Mike says, “ICE is building a strong reputation both nationally and internationally for its expertise in and passion for social marketing.

“As a team, we can offer a real depth of knowledge to know what has and hasn’t worked in other parts of the country, and can tailor social marketing projects to meet the needs of clients looking to make a positive impact across communities.”

Our CEO, Stuart Jackson, adds, “ICE’s development into the South East underlines our continued commitment to supporting long-term, positive behavioural change. We want to listen

to the needs of communities and their leaders. We believe that understanding a community is essential, which is why our programme of localisation will continue to be our priority.

“At ICE, we’re passionate about what we do, and the question for us is always: ‘Where next can we help to make a difference?’ We believe communities across Great Britain can be positively supported through social marketing. It’s an exciting time to be working within this field and I’m proud to welcome yet more talented members to the team.”

This expansion into London and the South East comes hot on the heels of a recently established base in the South West (Bristol).
