DID YOU KNOW…

...ICE is offering free taster sessions to explore workplace behaviours?

"A people-centred approach is essential to driving forward sustainable changes in workplace behaviour and internal cultures," says Michael Gates, Executive Director at ICE.

Michael Gates

"We know that efficiency and effectiveness are more critical than ever to public service delivery and we are offering these short workshops to demonstrate how the blend of traditional consultancy approaches and expertise in behaviour change can help maximise staff productivity and shape more positive attitudes and cultures within the workplace.

"Using a synergy of knowledge drawn from social marketing and classic consulting techniques, we’ve developed an integrated Organisational Change Model with a key focus on changing individual behaviours - thereby reducing costs and delivering clear, measurable outcomes.

"The Model is also underpinned by my own experience leading the Mouchel Management Consulting business and working at a senior level in local government for 20 years."

ICE PICKS a round up of project news

ICE's interactive charity penguin gets communities talking

A life-size, interactive charity penguin – designed and sponsored by ICE – is enabling people to have their say on the big issues facing their local communities.

Taking pride of place at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral, Penny the Penguin is part of the Go Penguins initiative – a ‘Winter’s Trail’ of 135 five foot tall penguins around Merseyside’s cultural highlights, on display until mid-January.

Our designers and digital media specialists have created the innovative Penguin using some of the latest interactive technology, in order to showcase our expertise in community consultation. It allows people to record their comments about the environmental and social issues affecting their local communities, which will then be fed back to a supporting website www.penny4athought.com where they can be viewed.

Building on ICE's expertise in community engagement and social marketing, the project is all about encouraging people of all ages – and from all sections of the community – to get talking and sharing ideas.

Penny the Penguin is also raising money for Liverpool Unites – a charity close to our heart, which is positively engaging children and young people by inspiring them to break the cycle of crime and poverty.

If you live in the area, why not come and visit our interactive, festive sculpture for yourself? Or visit us on Twitter or Facebook.

Countdown to launch of ICE Kaboodle.com

ICE’s new online product resource centre launches later this month.

icekaboodle.com

Named ICE Kaboodle.com, it will offer a range of services and merchandise tailored for four initial sectors: police, fire, health and education. That includes bespoke packages in social marketing, design, PR and multi-media services, as well as products such as event giveaways, stationery and community safety products.

Sarah Jackson is heading up ICE Kaboodle. She says, "This new online resource will bring together a range of services and products in one central location, enabling easy access for some of our key sectors.

"Crucially, it will give clients greater flexibility when it comes to purchasing 'off the shelf' packages which will support projects working right at the heart of our communities."
